Native History. Myths And Legends

Native History. Myths And Legends
Native History. Myths And Legends

This story is based on a true event, about a true Heroic warrior named Hatuey. When the Europeans arrived to the land of his people, he was the 1st Native to revolt against the Europeans, and when captured, they (European-Christians) offered him baptism in the name of Jesus Christ so that after they tied him on a stake, and burnt him alive, he can enter the gates of heaven, or otherwise he'll suffer for an eternity in Hell. Hatuey asked, "Is Heaven the place where Christians go?" The priest answered, "Yes, we good Christians go to heaven." So Hatuey responded, "Then I much rather go to Hell!" and then he spat at their faces. "IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST" Native Americans from Alaska, to U.S., to Mexico, to Cuba, to Peru, to Brazil, to Chile faced genocide of our people all across the continent, rape of our daughters and women, torture, theft of our land, resources, cultures, identity, and tongues.

To this day those same people who brought their terror are HERE on OUR land occupying our land, our resources, building a world on top of the dead bodies of our ancestors, building a system that functions on ruining us economically, environmentally, scholastically, legally, and yet they still say, "Why do you hate me, why can't we just get along?" And I say, "We never hated you. We helped you when you were dying of hunger near our shores when you landed here. And in return you stabbed us on our backs, and stole everything we built, and everything we are, you attempted genocide on us... so the real question is, why do you hate us, and why can't we just get along? When will you no longer ruin, and oppress us on our own land? Why does a "good life" for you have to the at our expense, at our suffocating? That's the real question! Answer that for me, please. Thank you." www.historyofcuba.com. suite101.com. www.onaway.org.
