Explore how the Hmongs & Native Americans platform fosters a safe, supportive, and culturally rich online community for shared heritage.

Building A Strong Community For Hmongs And Native Americans

The Hmongs & Native Americans platform is dedicated to fostering a vibrant, supportive, and safe online community where members can connect, share, and learn about their rich cultures, traditions, and histories. Since its inception, the website has been a testament to the power of unity and the importance of preserving shared heritage.

A Safe And Supportive Environment

Creating a secure space for interaction is paramount. The platform recently introduced an anonymous posting feature, allowing members to share their thoughts and experiences without revealing their name or profile photo. This initiative, launched on June 21, 2023, encourages open dialogue and ensures that all voices can be heard in a protected environment. This commitment to safety also extends to a strict no-tolerance policy for spam, in effect since December 13, 2013, ensuring that discussions remain focused on cultural exchange and learning. Furthermore, the community strongly discourages the use of the platform for dating or hook-ups, as clearly stated on June 19, 2014, reinforcing its purpose as a cultural hub.

Embracing And Sharing Culture

The heart of the Hmongs & Native Americans community lies in the celebration of shared culture. Members are encouraged to post pictures in traditional clothing and regalia, fostering a visual tapestry of shared heritage, as invited on February 9, 2014. The platform serves as a vital space for teaching, learning, and supporting each other's history, culture, and traditions. This spirit of cultural exchange has been a cornerstone since the website's early days, welcoming new and returning members to contribute and invite friends, as encouraged on June 27, 2013.

The Journey Towards Unity

The vision of reuniting Hmongs and Native Americans as "long lost brothers and sisters" has driven the platform since its beginnings in 2012. Early discussions, like those from November 26, 2012, emphasized the importance of members actively participating, posting about their cultures, and engaging in dialogue. The profound similarities between the Hmong and Native American peoples – from their histories of genocide and oppression to their shared indigenous roots and nearly identical cultural practices – are a central theme. As highlighted on November 15, 2012, both groups share a remarkable 99% similarity in culture, traditions, beliefs, family values, and lifestyles. This deep connection underscores the platform's mission to bring these communities together, share knowledge, and collectively stand for freedom and rights, as passionately articulated on January 9, 2013. The journey of discovering and strengthening these connections continues to be a driving force for the community.
