Twin Cities Stands with Standing Rock #NoDAPL
Cohosted by MN350, Honor the Earth, MPIRG - Minnesota Public Interest Research Group, Native Lives Matter.org, Minnesota Interfaith Power & Light, Sierra Club North Star Chapter, Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Community, and the Minneapolis Area Synod EcoFaith Network, UNITE Table, and Hunger Committee. This Tuesday, September 13th, #NoDAPL solidarity rallies are happening all over the world, to show support for the indigenous resistance to the Dakota Access Pipeline. The Twin Cities rally will be held in Downtown St. Paul, in close proximity to the Army Corps of Engineers office (the federal agency that is in charge of issuing permits for the pipeline). Please gather there to listen to powerful speakers and elected officials, and tell the Army Corps of Engineers that Water is life, we can't drink oil! Invite your family and friends and bring signs! This will be a family friendly rally, all ages are welcome. Transportation: Mears Park is one block north of the Union Depot station on the Green Line. Since the action is happening during evening rush hour for maximum visibility, allow extra time to find parking and navigate traffic if you choose to drive. For those coming from points west, catching the Green Line will likely be the quickest and most reliable option. RSVP at actionnetwork.org.
